Experimental Analysis of the R744/R404A Cascade Refrigeration System with Internal Heat Exchanger. Part 2: Exergy Characteristics

This paper examines the exergy efficiency and destruction rate of R744/R404A cascade refrigeration system (CRS) using an internal heat exchanger in supermarkets according to various conditions affecting system. A refrigerant a low-temperature cycle uses R744 high-temperature CRS R404A. Experiments were conducted by changing on high- side, analysis was performed accordingly. The main results are summarized as follows: (1) lower total CRS, higher system, accordingly coefficient performance (COP) is also improved. (2) In since optimum evaporation temperature exists (about ?16 °C), it can be said that limit point, is, with maximum COP point at about °C. Therefore, this becomes minimum. other words, should noted when compressor minimal. purpose study provide basic design data analyzing characteristics side for optimal which applied.
